The Mexicana truffle is one of the best-known varieties. During a fast growth period of 8-10 weeks, this species forms large sclerotia. The Mexicana contains a relatively low concentration of psilocin, in addition to a reasonable concentration of psilocybin. Because psilocybin is converted to psilocin in the human body, the effects will gradually kick in. This makes the Mexicana the ideal variety for beginners. Don?t worry about strength though, the Mexicana still makes for an extremely magical trip.
